Artichoke, a solo exhibition at Gallery P1, Ulsan, South Korea.

Date: 23 July - 8 August, 2021

‘Artichoke’ is a series of drawings and words imprinted on a large piece of paper.
Following a previous work, ‘Beetroot’, a type of vegetable plays an important role in the development of a narrative within.

A pair of busy hands are working with artichokes, while the conversation carries on, two people speaking impatiently. One person asks, the other talks and sometimes the conversation dials back to the shaping of artichokes or their changing form - sharp edges get cut off then rounder.

Ideas and doubts are emptied out as if they need to be escaped one’s body as if they could be exhasuted by speaking out loud.
