‘Beetroot’ is a series of drawings with text alongside to explore the idea of intersection, acceptance, body and wetness. Within it, conversations happen between a character called Samjung(he/him) and people for whom he cooks vegatables.
The beetroot was prompted and created to show at The White Pube as part of my online residency in March, 2021. Its flexible space as an online website allowed me to push the boundaries of my own drawing practice in a non-commercial setting.
